Sunday morning we woke up really early and went to the Alamo. It is really cool and I love the history behind it. It had been around for almost 100 years before the big battle there and the main building is actually an old spanish mission, or a church. Then Mexico got their independence from Spain and started allowing Americans come live in Texas to help populate it. Soon Mexico came under a dictator and Texas broke free. The famous battle was when the Mexican army came to fight the Texan army at the Alamo. They lost and all Americans died, but others came soon and won. You can still see some of the cannon marks on the building.
We flew home Sunday! It was so great to get to see the boys! They loved all their souvenirs!We got them pop guns from the Alamo.
Angry bulls shirts. They then asked if I would download the Angry Bulls game to my phone. They weren't happy that it isn't real.
We got them multi color pens, candy, and flashlights. They loved them all. It was a fun trip, but we were glad to be home!
