Easter!

We had such a fun Easter this year! Ryan, Emily, and the kids came in town and so did Jen, Blake, and the girls! Brooks came too. It was tons of fun being able to spend time with everyone. We got to have lotds of hula hoop contests, all of which Cassie won. April was the month of Star Wars for us. The boys made me borrow the movies from my neighbor and they watched them frequently over the Easter weekend. They were very happy on Easter morning to find that the Easter bunny had gotten them their own set of the Star Wars movies!
Jayce loved Trixie. Well, everyone still did at that point. No one can resist a sweet little puppy.
Grandma Geneal with all her grandkids at Granny's Easter egg hunt.
The end result of Granny's shopping and preparating for the hunt. I don't think anyone out there throws a better Easter egg hunt.
Seth and I got Gavin to chug the rest of a coke before the hunt started. We told him he needed the energy. I don't know if his parents appreciated it very much.
Everyone is ready to hunt! Pillowcases ready!
All lined up and waiting for Granny to say go!
Brocky got to hunt with Aunt Jenny. She helped him get lots of good stuff.

Trixie and Sharky both got dog tags for Easter. Sharky did not like his. He just wanted to chew it off and the fact that he couldn't get to it made it even worse!

We colored eggs the night before Easter. It was our first time and the last. It never occured to me that it would effect Doran just to touch the eggs, but it did. When he eats an egg his throat tightens up and he throws up and is just in general sick for awhile. About half an hour after we colored the eggs we layed the boys down to bed and noticed Doran was having a really hard time breathing. He was pulling in really hard below his ribs and was breathing really fast. He fell asleep right away. Seth and I were so worried. Seth listened to his lungs and we gave him some benadryl. We both were awake until 2 waiting and watching to make sure he was ok. We still haven't had to give him his epi pen, but that night was the scardest his allergies have made me yet.

Easter morning the boys ran out to look for their baskets, but couldn't find them. In the spot where their baskets had been were toys for the dogs and their name tags.
After searching the house they finally found their baskets hidden on the side of Brock's bed. I think the look on Brock's face says it all. It was a fun holiday.
