We had such a good Christmas this year! Seth was able to take time off for his birthday, Christmas, and New Years. We have had a great holiday season spending time together as a family. The boys were so excited for months about Christmas. Doran wanted a Dolphins jersey more then anything and Brock wanted hungry hungry hippos. They loved watching Christmas movies and shows too. Christmas eve we put out cheese, crackers, cookies, and milk for Santa. We thought it would be nice to give the big guy a little variety...
It did not take the boys long at all to fall sound asleep and for Santa to come! Doran didn't stay asleep very long though. He woke up at one and saw that Santa came and was so excited that he wouldn't go back to bed until two. Then he woke up pretty much on the hour every hour until Brock finally woke up at six and was ready to get down to business.
First Doran went to check the presents while Brock went to see if Santa ate the snacks we left for him.
Next they just sat and looked at all the presents. Seth and I moved them into the family room so Seth's parents and brother and sis in law could watch the fun! We gave Sharky his stocking first. He had a huge peanut butter bone in it and a kong Santa toy. The kong toys are supposed to be indestructuble, but our Sharky had already ripped him and eaten one of his ears before we were even done opening presents.
Brock was so happy when he opened hungry hungry hippos.
And Dordor was so happy when he got his Dolphins jersey! He now loves Reggie Bush since that is whos jersey he got. He looks like a stud muffin in it!
After the boys were done Seth and I opened our presents. I got lots of cute Giants clothes so I can show my team spirit. I gave Seth a bit of a shock with one present and just sat waiting to take a picture of his face when he opened it...
Sharky had a blast the rest of the day and a couple after with his huge bone! He would chew on it for an hour or so and when he was tired of chewing he would go 'bury' it somewhere so he could save it for later. He would mainly try to bury it in beds so I had some sheet washing to do.
After we finished opening presents my mom and Papa K came over. They were supposed to go to my step sisters house around the corner for breakfast but she called and told them her water had broke so she heading to the hospital to have their baby! She ended up having him at 4 am the next day. The boys got the awesome light sabers from grandma and Papa K that they had been wanting for months! They have brought them a lot of fun fights since!
Seth and Uncle Zach liked playing hungry hungry hippos too.

Probably the most sentimental gift this holiday season is the one all Seth's siblings did for their mom. We all went in and got her wedding ring fixed and sized because she hasn't worn it in over twenty years. After she stopped wearing that she wore another ring, but it no longer fit either and it had to be cut off her finger so we had that fixed and sized too.
She cried during after opening them and she told us the meaning behind the other ring. There was a time Rod was gone during his days in the air force and was living on a per diem. He ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all the time and saved that money so he could buy her that ring. It was for their ten year anniversary and it has six sapphires and ten diamonds. He said the six sapphires represented their six blue eyed children and the ten diamonds represented their ten years of marriage. I loved the meaning behind it and was happy that we were able to get them fixed so she can wear them again.
Seth's main Christmas present has been being driven around for about two months now, but he got a new car! It is so cute and I love it! He might love it as much as I do!
