Friday Doran had a walk-a-thon at his school. He has been so excited for it and has been practicing for it. The two of us went jogging one night, he had me take him to the school a few days before, and he has practiced every single recess break. The most laps he was able to get was two.
Brock and Audrey were really excited to watch!
Here he goes! He ran pretty much the whole time. He only stopped to get his tickets!
He got five laps! He was right up front with the other fast kids. No kids in kindergarten got more than he did so he was so excited and thinks he is going to win the iPod touch. I think it is a little unfair because he stands no chance against a sixth grader, but he tried so hard. I guess that is what matters.
After the walk-a-thon I got to go in his class and do his birthday stuff. Since he has a summer birthday he was calling it his pretend birthday. He had me read Smiley Shark to the class.
All the kids loved his treats and kept asking for more. He wanted to bring strawberries, but it has to be a store bought and sealed item so he settled on fruit roll ups. He is so handsome!
